How to Top Up Liketide in 60 Seconds from Your Phone with USDC on Polygon

Most of our users now top up Liketide from their phone. It makes sense. Your phone is where your wallet apps live, where your exchange apps push notifications, where you actually scroll social media all day. Funding the account from the same device you use to check your campaigns is just simpler.

This guide is for the mobile flow specifically. We will cover the five most common apps people use to send USDC, with the precise sequence of taps for each one. The whole flow is designed to take 60 seconds end to end once you know where to tap.

If you want the desktop version with full Connect Wallet support, see our main funding guide. If you want to start from a credit card without any crypto setup, see How to Pay Liketide with a Credit Card.

For everyone else, here is the fastest mobile flow we know.

The 60 Second Flow at a Glance

This is the entire process when you have everything ready.

  1. On your phone, open pay.liketide.com
  2. Type your Liketide username (or email) and the amount
  3. Tap Continue
  4. Tap Scan with mobile wallet
  5. Open your wallet or exchange app, tap Send or Withdraw
  6. Scan the QR code shown on Liketide (or paste the address)
  7. Confirm USDC, Polygon network, and the exact amount
  8. Tap Confirm
  9. Watch the Liketide page transition to "Payment received"
  10. After 5 seconds, you are redirected back to liketide.com

The first time through, expect 2 to 3 minutes while you orient yourself. Every time after, 60 seconds is realistic.

Before You Start

You need three things on your phone:

  1. A wallet or exchange app with USDC balance
  2. The USDC must be on the Polygon network, not Ethereum, not Tron, not anywhere else
  3. A way to scan a QR code (any modern phone has this built into the camera)

If you do not yet have USDC on Polygon, you have three options. You can buy USDC inside an exchange app (most modern apps support card purchases directly). You can transfer existing USDC from one network to Polygon using a bridge. Or you can ask a friend who has USDC on Polygon to send you a small amount to test with.

For complete first time setup we recommend the Coinbase app, which lets you buy USDC with a debit card and withdraw to Polygon all in the same app.

Method 1: Coinbase Mobile App

The Coinbase app is the most popular path for first time mobile crypto users. Here is the flow assuming you already have the app installed and verified.

Buy USDC (if you don't already have some)

  1. Open the Coinbase app
  2. Tap Buy & Sell at the bottom
  3. Tap Buy
  4. Search for and select USDC
  5. Type the dollar amount you want
  6. Choose your debit card or bank as the payment method
  7. Tap Preview Buy, review, then Buy now

The USDC arrives in your Coinbase balance instantly (or within a few minutes for some payment methods).

Send USDC to Liketide

  1. On Liketide (pay.liketide.com), enter your username and the amount you want to add. Tap Continue
  2. Tap Scan with mobile wallet. The screen now shows a QR code, the payment address, and the amount
  3. Switch to the Coinbase app
  4. Tap Send / Receive at the bottom
  5. Tap Send
  6. Tap USDC
  7. Tap the Scan icon (small QR symbol top right of the recipient field)
  8. Point your camera at the Liketide QR code
  9. Coinbase reads the address and shows it. Critical: tap the network selector and choose Polygon (MATIC), not Ethereum
  10. Enter the amount (Coinbase may not auto fill from the QR, type it manually)
  11. Tap Send now and confirm with biometrics

The transaction sends, the funds arrive at Liketide's address in 30 to 60 seconds, and you watch the success screen on the Liketide tab.

Coinbase Mobile Specific Notes

  • The Coinbase app sometimes shows a confirmation popup about "Sending crypto for the first time." Just confirm and proceed
  • The withdrawal fee on Polygon is usually free or extremely low (less than a few cents)
  • If the network selector defaults to Ethereum, you must manually change it. This is the single most common mistake on Coinbase

Method 2: Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet is the most popular self custody mobile wallet. If you keep your USDC there, the flow is even faster than Coinbase because Trust Wallet auto reads QR codes including the network and amount.

  1. On Liketide, get to the QR screen as before
  2. Open Trust Wallet
  3. Tap USDC in your asset list (make sure it says "Polygon" under the asset name)
  4. Tap Send
  5. Tap the small QR icon in the recipient field
  6. Scan the Liketide QR
  7. Trust Wallet reads everything: address, network, amount. They auto fill
  8. Tap Continue and confirm with biometrics

You may need a small amount of POL in your Trust Wallet to cover gas. Trust Wallet shows you a clear error if you do not have enough.

Trust Wallet Specific Notes

  • Trust Wallet has separate entries for USDC on different networks. Make sure you tap the one labeled "Polygon"
  • If you do not see Polygon USDC in your assets, tap the "+" button at the top right of the wallet, search for "USDC," and enable the Polygon version
  • Trust Wallet's QR scanner is excellent. It rarely needs manual input

Method 3: MetaMask Mobile

MetaMask Mobile is the phone version of the most popular browser wallet. It works similarly to Trust Wallet for our purposes.

  1. On Liketide, get to the QR screen
  2. Open MetaMask Mobile
  3. At the top of the screen, make sure the network selector says Polygon Mainnet. If it says Ethereum or anything else, tap it and switch
  4. Tap your USDC asset (must be the Polygon version)
  5. Tap Send
  6. Tap the QR scanner icon in the recipient field
  7. Scan the Liketide QR
  8. MetaMask reads the address. Network is already Polygon (because you set it). Type the amount manually
  9. Tap Next, review, Send

MetaMask Mobile Specific Notes

  • Make sure you have a small amount of POL for gas. MetaMask shows clear errors if not
  • The QR scan in MetaMask sometimes only reads the address, not the amount. Type it manually if so
  • If you accidentally have the wrong network selected, MetaMask warns you before sending

Method 4: Phantom

Phantom started as a Solana wallet but now supports Ethereum and Polygon. If you keep multi chain assets in Phantom, you can use it for Liketide too.

  1. On Liketide, get to the QR screen
  2. Open Phantom
  3. Switch to the Polygon network (top of screen, tap network selector)
  4. Tap your USDC balance
  5. Tap Send
  6. Tap Scan QR
  7. Scan the Liketide QR
  8. Phantom auto fills from the QR. Confirm USDC and Polygon
  9. Type the amount, tap Next, then Send

Phantom Specific Notes

  • Phantom users sometimes have multi network confusion (Solana vs Ethereum vs Polygon). Triple check that Polygon is selected before sending
  • The USDC on Polygon must be enabled in your asset settings

Method 5: Binance Mobile App

If your USDC lives in your Binance account, you can withdraw directly from the Binance app to Liketide.

  1. On Liketide, copy the payment address (you will paste it manually, the Binance app does not scan addresses inside the withdraw flow reliably)
  2. Open the Binance app
  3. Tap Wallets at the bottom
  4. Find USDC, tap it
  5. Tap Withdraw
  6. Paste the Liketide address
  7. Critical: under network, choose Polygon (POL), not BNB Smart Chain, not Ethereum
  8. Enter the amount
  9. Confirm with two factor authentication (often a 6 digit code from Google Authenticator or SMS)

Binance charges a small fixed fee for USDC withdrawals on Polygon, around $0.50.

Binance Specific Notes

  • Binance is famously strict about network selection. They show a big warning if you pick the wrong one. Read it carefully
  • The first withdrawal to a new address may require email confirmation
  • The withdrawal arrives in 1 to 3 minutes typically

What Happens After You Confirm

Regardless of which app you used, the moment your transaction broadcasts to the Polygon network, our system starts watching for it.

The Liketide payment page on your other tab (or your phone browser) shows the status in real time:

  • Confirming on chain: the network is processing your transaction. Takes 10 to 30 seconds
  • Payment received: the funds arrived at our address and we credited your Liketide balance with the amount plus 5% bonus

After "Payment received," the page shows your transaction hash (a unique ID for the on chain payment), the credited amount, and a button. The button starts a 5 second countdown that says "Back to Liketide in 5..." After 5 seconds, the page automatically redirects to liketide.com so you can immediately use your new balance to order services.

If you tap the button before the countdown finishes, the redirect happens immediately.

Tips for the Best Mobile Experience

After watching thousands of users go through this, here are the small things that make the flow smoother.

Keep the Liketide Tab Open

When you switch from your browser to your wallet app to send the funds, then come back, the Liketide tab is still tracking your payment. Do not close the tab. The success screen and the redirect both depend on it being open.

Bookmark pay.liketide.com

You will want to come back here regularly. Bookmark it on your home screen or in your browser bookmarks for one tap access.

Pre Fund Your Wallet with Gas

If you use a self custody wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom), keep a tiny float of POL in your wallet at all times. About $1 worth lasts for hundreds of transactions on Polygon. This avoids the awkward "I need gas" moment when you are mid flow.

Use Quick Amount Buttons

Liketide's payment page has $25, $50, $100, $250 quick amount buttons. If you regularly top up the same amount, just tap. Saves typing.

Connect Wallet Works on Mobile Too

If you use a wallet's built in browser (MetaMask Mobile has one, Trust Wallet has one), you can open Liketide inside the wallet's browser and use the Connect Wallet flow instead of QR. This is the single fastest mobile path. The wallet auto signs the transaction without needing to switch apps.

To do this:

  1. Open your wallet app
  2. Find the "DApps" or "Browser" tab
  3. Type pay.liketide.com in the address bar
  4. The Connect Wallet button on Liketide will detect your wallet and use it directly
  5. Confirm the transaction in the same app

This eliminates the tab switching entirely. Recommended once you are comfortable with the basics.

Use a Cleaner App for Tracking

If you want to verify that your payment actually went through on chain, install a Polygon block explorer app like Polygonscan's web version (polygonscan.com works fine on mobile). You can paste the transaction hash from your wallet history and see the confirmation status.

This is rarely necessary because Liketide's payment page tracks it for you, but useful if you ever want a paper trail.

Common Mobile Issues and Fixes

"I scanned the QR but the amount didn't fill in"

Some wallet apps and exchange apps only read the address from the QR, not the amount. This is normal. Just type the amount manually. The address from the QR is what really matters.

"My wallet says transaction failed"

Almost always one of three causes:

  1. Not enough POL for gas. Add a tiny amount of POL
  2. Wrong network selected. Re check that Polygon is the chosen network
  3. Some wallets cache old failed transactions. Force quit and reopen the wallet

"The Liketide page is stuck on Confirming"

Polygon is fast, but if there is a network slowdown your transaction may take longer than usual. Check the transaction status on polygonscan.com using your transaction hash. If it is confirmed on chain but our page is still loading, give it another minute. Our system catches up within 15 seconds in normal conditions.

"I tapped Confirm in my wallet but I'm back on the wallet's home screen"

This happens when wallet apps lose focus during long operations. The transaction usually still went through. Look at your wallet's transaction history. If you see the send, it is fine. The Liketide page should update within a minute.

"The page redirected to liketide.com but I want to add another payment"

After the redirect, just go back to pay.liketide.com and start a new top up. Your previous payment is fully credited. There is no penalty for redoing the flow.

Frequently Asked Questions for Mobile Users

Q: Can I use the same flow on a tablet? A: Yes. Tablets work identically to phones for our payment flow.

Q: Does it work on iPhone and Android? A: Yes, both. The flow is identical.

Q: What if I send the wrong amount? A: We credit you whatever amount actually arrives, plus 5%. So if you meant to send $50 but accidentally typed $5, your balance goes up by $5.25. We do not refund the difference, we just credit what arrived.

Q: Can I cancel a payment after I send it? A: No. Once a transaction is broadcast to the Polygon network, it cannot be canceled. This is true of all crypto payments. The good news is that the transaction confirms in 10 to 30 seconds, so you do not have long to wait.

Q: How fast does the credit show up in Liketide? A: From wallet confirmation to Liketide credit, typically 30 to 60 seconds. The bottleneck is the network confirmation, not our system.

Q: Will I have to verify my identity? A: Liketide does not require identity verification for funding. The wallet or exchange you use may have already verified you (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken do). Self custody wallets like Trust Wallet and MetaMask have no verification.

Q: Can I do this without a SIM card? A: Yes, as long as your phone has internet (Wi-Fi is fine). The whole flow happens over HTTP and the blockchain.

Q: What if my phone dies mid transaction? A: If the transaction was already submitted to the network, it will confirm regardless of your phone's status. You can come back when you are charged again and the credit will be there. If you were still mid send (had not tapped Confirm yet), the transaction simply did not happen and you can retry from any device.

Q: Why doesn't Liketide just have a mobile app? A: Funding via the web flow with your existing wallet apps means we do not have to maintain a separate iOS and Android app, which would slow down our ability to ship improvements. The web flow is also more flexible because you can pay from any wallet that supports the open standards we use (EIP 681 for QR codes, EIP 1193 for wallet connections).

A Note on Bookmarks and Push Notifications

If you fund regularly, here are two small habits that make a big difference.

Add pay.liketide.com to your home screen as a Progressive Web App. On iOS, tap the share icon in Safari, then "Add to Home Screen." On Android Chrome, tap the menu, then "Add to Home Screen." The icon launches like an app.

Enable push notifications in your wallet app for transaction confirmations. Most wallet apps will alert you the moment a payment confirms on chain, which gives you a heads up before the Liketide page updates.

These two changes turn a 60 second flow into something that feels instant.

Final Word

Funding Liketide from your phone is the fastest way to keep your campaigns moving without having to context switch to a desktop. With practice, the whole flow takes less time than walking from your kitchen to your desk.

If you have not done it before, head to pay.liketide.com on your phone right now and run a $1 test. The math: you spend $1 of USDC plus a fraction of a cent in gas, and your Liketide balance goes up by $1.05. Even on a tiny test run you come out ahead.
